Cartonnage is a lovely craft! With paperboard, fabric and glue we can have so much fun and make great handmade gits using this technique with NO-SEW......and your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric!
This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all cardboard you need to make your own fabric desk calendar, as shown in the pictures. The finished calendar will be 8" x 4 1/2" x 6". Fabric is not included. Brad and binder clips are not included, as you can easily find them in any craft store or office store, in so many different colors. So, you will add your own.
This project is one of those included in the FREE online course "Joy of cartonnage"(click to go the course). There is a video showing in details all the process. More than this, you will find other basic cartonnage complementary content with videos in this basic course. Inside the course you will also find the printable calendar sheets to download to you computer, print, cut and use in your desk calendar.
For making the calendar you will need this kit, two coordinating quilting fabrics (less than 1 fat quarter each), scissors, white PVA glue (Glue-All - Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, paper awl or another hole punch, post it notes, 1 or 2 brads and 1 or 2 binder clips (depending how you choose to add your calendar sheets).
For a better finishing of your project you will need Cartonnage tools (spacers, spatula and corner tool) that you can find in the "tools" section of the shop.
